He left Red Jacket to assist producers Liz Manne and Catherine Tait at Duopoly, and was Ms. Manne's assistant on the HBO Films production of A DOG YEAR, starring Jeff Bridges. When Mrs. Tait founded iThentic, which created and aggregated video-content for mobile devices, Shane created their first viral commercial, and became the in-house producer, creating over 50 mobisodes in the company's first year. He then moved on to producing corporate and industrial videos and production managing and coordinating national television commercials.
In 2006, he directed, wrote, and produced FUN AND GAMES with Patricia Sykes and Michael W. Sapienza, which won Best Film at the Midnight Madness Film Festival. He was also named Best Director, and Justin Samaha won Best Composer for the film’s score.
From 2007-08, Shane produced WAKE for Piers End Productions, POST MERIDIAN for The Doorpost Project/The Molecule, and produced and directed THE LAKE EFFECT for CharlieCat Productions as well as THE DAVE HILL GUIDE TO VOTING for the Sundance Channel and sundance.com. Shane then moved into television as the Line Producer on the MTV series COLLEGE LIFE, while also line producing two other pilots for the network.
In the summer of 2009, Shane produced the horror feature film EVIL WEED, written and directed by David Wexler, for Cinema 59 Productions, as well as line producing the behind-the-scenes web series MOVIE LIFE. He returned to MTV as the Production Manager for SILENT LIBRARY Season Two, and in January 2010, he joined the Series Development team as an in-house Production Manager. In October, 2010, Shane again worked with David Wexler, and Co-Produced his second feature, THE STAND UP.
Shane lives with his wife in Brooklyn, where he continues to write, direct and produce.
